Certification Levels

Everyone begins the certification process at OGRS by applying for and completing OGRS training.  Then you apply for and pass the C-OGRS-I level.  That means that you are certified to teach beginning readers using Orton Gillingham.

Then you work your way up the certification ladder as far as you want to go!
C-OGRS-I 60 120 during supervised practica 6 with beginning readers during practica N/A
C-OGRS-II 60 60 during supervised practica 3 with intermediate readers during practica N/A
C-OGRS-III See Seminars 1200 6 3 with advanced readers; 3 with pre-readers Eight (8) OGRS seminars: 2 prereading; 4 adv. reading; and 2 addtl.
C-OGRS-IV See Seminars 6000 10 with varied reading levels All Seminars

Maintaining My Certification

To maintain your certification with OGRS, you must complete 10 OGRS CEUs per year. There are tons of options. Check them out!
